He’s Dead Jim

Things haven’t changed much here. It’s still beautiful. Wind is calm even at 11:30. The tide is high as it has been on the last several swims and the waves are breaking right on shore. What is different is that the water was quite clear. I could see the ocean floor pretty clearly throughout most of the swim. Water temperature was about the same as Monday - coolish, low 60’s - but fewer warm spots than Monday yet not nonexistent. When I first dove in, I could feel the sensation of cold water on my teeth.

I swam south today and my camera lost power at the south end of the beach. Sadly I think this is the last time it will ever lose power because it is not powering back on regardless of any battery I insert. This morning I noticed some water and mist behind the screen and lense. Fortunately, it looks like the manufacturer is going to replace it.

Other than the technical mishap, it was a beautiful swim even if I don’t have much to pictorially show for it.
